Our check out times provide time for the cleaners and gardeners to prepare the rooms, bathrooms and general property maintenance. However we will aim to be flexible with these times if possible and with advance notification.

Period of stay
Our one week booking period is traditionally from Saturday to Saturday, should you require an alternative period of days then please contact us at info@chateaubelvedere.fr

Smoking
Smoking is only permitted outside of the property.

Animals
Unfortunately pets are not allowed at the property. There are 3 cats that live in the barn and may be seen around the property looking for mice in the vineyards.

Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is only kept serviced between May and October.

Swimming pool safety
The swimming pool has a an electric security cover, if you have small children it is recommended to keep the pool cover closed when the pool is not in use.

Property safety
There is also a small lake approximately 300m from the property and Château Belvedere sits nestled in a working vineyard where occasional vehicles pass by approximately 200m from the Château. It is important that small children are not left to wander the grounds without adult supervision.

Accessibility
Unfortunately due to the historic layout of the property it is not currently accessible by wheelchair.

Heating and air conditioning
All bedrooms, the vestibule, salon, dining room and games room feature air conditioning or heating. The northern part of the house remain relatively cool in the summer and features underfloor heating for the winter. There is a fireplace in the Salon but it is not permitted to use it.

Payment
A non refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your booking, the remaining 50% balance is required at least 14 days before your arrival or you may lose your reservation & deposit.

We know that most people are decent and reasonable but as you can appreciate we also have to protect the value of our decor, furniture and fittings against damage. Although we’re sure that our guests will respect the huge amount of work that has gone into renovating Château Belvédère we’re also aware that things like a torn pool table cloth, a broken breakfast bar, a smashed mirror or child’s crayons on the walls could ruin our ability to take following bookings in addition to the costs of repair. As such a security deposit of €2500 is necessary.

Upon your arrival our handling agent will tour the property with you and confirm with you that everything is in order. 

On the day of your departure our agent will again tour the property with you to verify the condition that you have left the property, if everything is correct and in order then your security deposit will be returned in full.

If during your stay any damage occurs then we recommend that, to avoid any further problems, you contact us on the number provided at the property. 

Any damage incurred during your stay will be evaluated by an independent assessor and the damage amount will be deducted from your security deposit and the balance returned. If any damage is beyond your €2500 security deposit, then you agree by booking with Château Belvédère that those acting on behalf of Château Belvédère can take any necessary action to retrieve funds to the full value of any damage incurred.

Responsibility
The person booking the property must also be a guest during the stay. We are unable to accept bookings from a person or organisation who is not also a guest for the duration of the stay. Upon your arrival our handling agent will check that the paying/booking guest is part of the group staying, if not then unfortunately for security reasons the group will not be permitted to stay.

Guest numbers
To ensure that our cleaners only have to attend to the rooms that were booked and manage the bedding and towels etc in rooms that were used, bedrooms that were not part of your booking will remain locked.

Privacy
Château Belvédère has a very private aspect but the occasional gardener or visitor may arrive unannounced in the grounds during daylight hours. Please note that there are security cameras on the outside of the property, the inside of the property remains completely private.
